사진은 세계와 접촉한다. 사진이 갖는 힘은 대상과의 접촉에 있다. 

사진은 피사체에 부딪혀 되돌아온 빛으로 만들어진다. 

사진은 촉각적 매체다. 

즉 사진은 세계를 만진다. 

사진을 만지고 싶었다. 

사진이 세계와 접촉하는 것처럼 사진과 접촉하지 못하고 디지털데이터에만 접근하고 있었다. 

사진의 프린트는 종이와 잉크로 이루어진 물질이다. 

나는 물질에 접근해 접촉의 흔적을 남긴다. 

디지털 이미지가 갖고 있는 정보의 체계가 흩어진다. 

최종 결과물은 모니터에 보이는 이미지와는 다른 이미지가 된다. 

만짐은 사진의 복제성에 원본성을 더한다. 

사진에서 출발하지만 사진과는 다른 사진이고 세계와 접촉하지 않은 그림과는 다른 그림이다.

존재함은 사건이다. 

사진은 존재의 존재했음을 드러낸다. 

촉각적인 방법으로. 

나는 사진을 만진다. 

사진은 기억한다.

Photographs come from contacting with the world. They are made from light struck against the subject. I think their strength come from that contacting. Photography is a tactile medium. In other words, photographs touch the world. I wanted not to manage the digital information but to touch the photographs just like they touch the world.

  The print of photographs is a material made of paper and ink. I intervene in the process of printing and leave the traces of touching the paper or ink. Then the system of the digital information is dispersed through touching, and the final image is different from the one seen on the monitor. Touching adds originality to the reproducibility of the photography. The image is different from the original photograph, and it is also different from a painting that has not contacted with the world.

  Being is an event. Photographs reveal that something existed, in a tactile way. I touch the photographs. And my image remember the touches (two kinds of touching).
