옛 고려 양조장을 현재모습 'ㄴ'자로된 양조장을 옛날 그대로의 모습으로 보존하며 술 향기에서 이젠 문화의 향기로 대구 도심 속 문화의 공간으로 변신을 하였습니다. 구조 변경을 하지 않고 전체 뼈대와 골격, 분위기는 90년 전의 건물 느낌을 그대로 살리고, 내부에는 갤러리, 강의실, 암실, 작업실, 카페, 다양한 문화공간으로 변화시켜 찾는 이들에게 온고지신의 향취를 느낄 수 있도록 만들었다. 현재 이곳은 매주 수, 목, 요일은 사진교실과 전시가 이루어지고 있다. 도심 재창조를 표방하는 중구의 골목길 투어가 시민들과 관광객들에게
도심의 새로운 문화가 살아 숨 쉬는 명소로 자리하고 있다.
